Solo Sunny

Sunny (Renate Krößner) is a pop singer who tours through villages and small towns with a band. While she has no difficulty warding off men who try to chat her up, she still yearns for a great love experience. Taxi driver Harry (Dieter Montag) adores her, but she does not want him and instead falls in love with philosopher Ralph (Alexander Lang).

When she demonstratively turns down musician Norbert′s obtrusive advances, it results in her being thrown out of the band, but starts over in the underground music scene in East Berlin. A DEFA drama with catchy music, Solo Sunny addresses the longings and frustrations of East German youth.

Presented by the Goethe-Institut.
